We Kicked Styrofoam® to the Curb!
We put our heart and soul into making the finest ice creams on the market, so naturally, we want to share them with as many people as possible. ❤️ We've loved the ability to ship directly to your doorstep, but we were always bit heartbroken that shipping in Styrofoam® was the only viable way to keep our ice creams frozen when doing so. Until now!
We are thrilled to announce that we've teamed up with the innovators at TemperPack to begin shipping our ice creams in sustainable packaging made from renewable, plant-based 🌱 components and paper!
Not only do the new eco-coolers keep our ice creams fully frozen ❄️ during the duration of their journey, but the paper and plant-based liners are fully curbside recyclable, along with the outer cardboard box. 🙌🏼
This matters, because not all recyclable products are created equal. As it turns out, only 9% of all plastic is ever actually recycled. When it comes to cardboard though, this material is recycled 93% of the time. The ClimaCell coolers are designed to be repulpable alongside cardboard, meaning that when you recycle these, the material will actually get reused.
We put together a highly complicated, 2-step guide on how to recycle them below! It should only take you several hours and a Masters in Engineering to complete. 😉
